Tyla van Niekerk received her bachelors in Physiotherapy, Cum Laude, at the university of Pretoria in 2023 and completed her community service year at Dr Yusuf Dadoo hospital in 2024.

She has a keen interest in hospital-based care that incorporates her growing passion for rehabilitation in the spheres of orthopaedics and neuromuscular conditions. In 2024 she completed postgraduate courses in dry needling, full-body strapping techniques, Spinal cord injuries and paediatric developmental delays.

Tyla likes to spend her down time in nature and enjoys CrossFit, reading and seeing family and friends.
